   My first Tom Ford experience was this one, Noir de Noir (2007). The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Saffron — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

That first spray gives a lovely Saffron impression that dries down smoothly. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. The composition is well made but not for me.
