   For a 2022 release, Rose de Chine deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. As it settles, Myrrh and Labdanum come through and give it real depth. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   A friend passed me a decant of Rose de Chine (2022) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Rose feel carefully balanced. The opening is built around Chinese Peony — bright and immediately recognizable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   My first Tom Ford experience was this one, Rose de Chine (2022). The base rests on Myrrh and Labdanum — warm, grounded and easy to live with. That first spray gives a lovely Chinese Peony impression that dries down smoothly. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I’ve been wearing Rose de Chine on and off for a few weeks now (2022). The very first sniff is crisp Chinese Peony, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Myrrh and Labdanum come through and give it real depth. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Picked up a sample of Rose de Chine after reading the community buzz (2022). The first minutes are all about Chinese Peony — it grabs attention without being pushy. The opening is built around Chinese Peony — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
