   I have owned Midnight in Paris Eau de Parfum for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Give it a little time and Tea with Lily-of-the-Valley comes forward — smooth and well done. The very first sniff is crisp Leather with Mate peeking through, very much my kind of start. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I keep reaching for Midnight in Paris Eau de Parfum more than I expected to. The base rests on Tonka Bean and Incense — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Tonka Bean and Incense come through and give it real depth. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   Van Cleef & Arpels knows how to compose, and Midnight in Paris Eau de Parfum (2010) is proof. The heart is the best part for me: Tea and Lily-of-the-Valley feel carefully balanced. The first minutes are all about Leather with a hint of Mate — it grabs attention without being pushy. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
