   A friend passed me a decant of Orchid Leather (2021) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Give it a little time and Plum with Labdanum comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Plum and Labdanum feel carefully balanced. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I picked up Orchid Leather (2021) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Plum with Labdanum, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Plum and Labdanum feel carefully balanced. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Plum with Labdanum, which is where the fragrance really shines. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Plum with Labdanum, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   For a 2021 release, Orchid Leather deserves more attention than it gets. The heart is the best part for me: Plum and Labdanum feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Plum with Labdanum, which is where the fragrance really shines. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
