   I’ve been wearing Oriens on and off for a few weeks now (2010). Right away I get mostly Raspberry alongside Black Currant, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Raspberry with a hint of Black Currant — it grabs attention without being pushy. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   For a 2010 release, Oriens deserves more attention than it gets. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Praline and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine with White Flowers, which is where the fragrance really shines. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. The composition is well made but not for me.

   I keep reaching for Oriens more than I expected to. Right away I get mostly Raspberry alongside Black Currant, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and White Flowers feel carefully balanced. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   Everyone keeps talking about Oriens, so I finally gave it a proper test. That first spray gives a lovely Raspberry/Black Currant impression that dries down smoothly. The base rests on Patchouli and Praline — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and White Flowers feel carefully balanced. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I would happily buy a full bottle.
