   I’ve been wearing Princess on and off for a few weeks now (2006). The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Dark Chocolate and Guava feel carefully balanced. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

As it settles, Vanilla and Amber come through and give it real depth. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   Everyone keeps talking about Princess, so I finally gave it a proper test. The first minutes are all about Water Lily with a hint of Apricot — it grabs attention without being pushy. The opening is built around Water Lily and Apricot — bright and immediately recognizable. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   My first Vera Wang experience was this one, Princess (2006). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Dark Chocolate with Guava, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Water Lily/Apricot impression that dries down smoothly. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

Give it a little time and Dark Chocolate with Guava comes forward — smooth and well done. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. The composition is well made but not for me.

Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
