   I keep reaching for Versace L’Homme more than I expected to. The heart is the best part for me: Carnation and Cinnamon feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Carnation with Cinnamon comes forward — smooth and well done. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A couple of wears in, Versace L’Homme has really grown on me. The base rests on Leather and Oakmoss — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Give it a little time and Carnation with Cinnamon comes forward — smooth and well done. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

The first minutes are all about Lemon with a hint of Basil — it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   Versace knows how to compose, and Versace L’Homme (1984) is proof. The base rests on Leather and Oakmoss — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Leather and Oakmoss come through and give it real depth. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I wanted to like it more than I did.

I would happily buy a full bottle.
