   I have owned Yellow Diamond Intense for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The heart is the best part for me: Orange Blossom and Freesia feel carefully balanced. The opening is built around Citron and Pear — bright and immediately recognizable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I’ve been wearing Yellow Diamond Intense on and off for a few weeks now (2014). The first minutes are all about Citron with a hint of Pear — it grabs attention without being pushy. Give it a little time and Orange Blossom with Freesia comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   My first Versace experience was this one, Yellow Diamond Intense (2014). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Orange Blossom with Freesia, which is where the fragrance really shines. Right away I get mostly Citron alongside Pear, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. The composition is well made but not for me.

   Everyone keeps talking about Yellow Diamond Intense, so I finally gave it a proper test. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Orange Blossom with Freesia, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Guaiac Wood plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
