   My first Vilhelm Parfumerie experience was this one, Mango Skin (2018). The first minutes are all about Mango with a hint of Blackberry — it grabs attention without being pushy. That first spray gives a lovely Mango/Blackberry impression that dries down smoothly. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I have owned Mango Skin for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Mango/Blackberry impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Vanilla and Icing pink come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   Everyone keeps talking about Mango Skin, so I finally gave it a proper test. Right away I get mostly Mango alongside Blackberry, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Mango/Blackberry impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I picked up Mango Skin (2018) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Icing pink and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The very first sniff is crisp Mango with Blackberry peeking through, very much my kind of start. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Orris with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Orris with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A friend passed me a decant of Mango Skin (2018) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Mango alongside Blackberry, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: Orris and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The opening is built around Mango and Blackberry — bright and immediately recognizable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.
