   For a 2015 release, Opus Kore deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Raspberry Bloom with Magnolia, which is where the fragrance really shines. The opening is built around Acai Berry and Sicilian Lemon — bright and immediately recognizable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   I picked up Opus Kore (2015) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Raspberry Bloom and Magnolia feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Raspberry Bloom with Magnolia, which is where the fragrance really shines. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. The composition is well made but not for me.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Opus Kore. The first minutes are all about Acai Berry with a hint of Sicilian Lemon — it grabs attention without being pushy. The base rests on Musk and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. The composition is well made but not for me.

   I have owned Opus Kore for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The drydown leans on Musk plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. That first spray gives a lovely Acai Berry/Sicilian Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   Everyone keeps talking about Opus Kore, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on Musk and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The heart is the best part for me: Raspberry Bloom and Magnolia feel carefully balanced. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   My first Vilhelm Parfumerie experience was this one, Opus Kore (2015). The first minutes are all about Acai Berry with a hint of Sicilian Lemon — it grabs attention without being pushy. Right away I get mostly Acai Berry alongside Sicilian Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I would happily buy a full bottle.
