   Everyone keeps talking about La Capitale, so I finally gave it a proper test. The drydown leans on Bourbon Vanilla plus Benzoin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Strawberry and Caramel — bright and immediately recognizable. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   Everyone keeps talking about La Capitale, so I finally gave it a proper test. The first minutes are all about Strawberry with a hint of Caramel — it grabs attention without being pushy. Right away I get mostly Strawberry alongside Caramel, fresh and very easy to wear. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

The heart is the best part for me: Leather and Amber feel carefully balanced. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   XerJoff knows how to compose, and La Capitale (2018) is proof. The base rests on Bourbon Vanilla and Benzoin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Strawberry and Caramel — bright and immediately recognizable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Leather with Amber, which is where the fragrance really shines. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

The very first sniff is crisp Strawberry with Caramel peeking through, very much my kind of start. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

As it settles, Bourbon Vanilla and Benzoin come through and give it real depth. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
