   My first XerJoff experience was this one, Mamluk (2012). The heart is the best part for me: Honey and Caramel feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Honey with Caramel comes forward — smooth and well done. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. The composition is well made but not for me.

   A couple of wears in, Mamluk has really grown on me. The heart is the best part for me: Honey and Caramel feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Honey with Caramel, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I would happily buy a full bottle.

The heart is the best part for me: Honey and Caramel feel carefully balanced. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   I picked up Mamluk (2012) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Honey and Caramel feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Honey with Caramel comes forward — smooth and well done. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
