A friend passed me a decant of Ispahan (1977) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The opening is built around Bergamot and Mandarin Orange β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Mandarin Orange β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. The composition is well made but not for me.

Picked up a sample of Ispahan after reading the community buzz (1977). The base rests on Nutmeg and Benzoin β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ylang-Ylang with Mimosa, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I would happily buy a full bottle.

For a 1977 release, Ispahan deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Nutmeg and Benzoin β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. Give it a little time and Ylang-Ylang with Mimosa comes forward β€” smooth and well done. Two sprays are enough β€” it carries well without shouting. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

My first Yves Rocher experience was this one, Ispahan (1977). Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Mandarin Orange β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I would happily buy a full bottle.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Ispahan. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ylang-Ylang with Mimosa, which is where the fragrance really shines. Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Well done β€” recommended if the notes appeal to you.

For a 1977 release, Ispahan deserves more attention than it gets. That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Mandarin Orange impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Nutmeg plus Benzoin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

A couple of wears in, Ispahan has really grown on me. Give it a little time and Ylang-Ylang with Mimosa comes forward β€” smooth and well done. The base rests on Nutmeg and Benzoin β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

Yves Rocher knows how to compose, and Ispahan (1977) is proof. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Ylang-Ylang and Mimosa feel carefully balanced. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

I picked up Ispahan (1977) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Mandarin Orange β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. Give it a little time and Ylang-Ylang with Mimosa comes forward β€” smooth and well done. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I would happily buy a full bottle.

The heart is the best part for me: Ylang-Ylang and Mimosa feel carefully balanced. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

I have owned Ispahan for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. Give it a little time and Ylang-Ylang with Mimosa comes forward β€” smooth and well done. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

I keep reaching for Ispahan more than I expected to. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ylang-Ylang with Mimosa, which is where the fragrance really shines. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I’ve been wearing Ispahan on and off for a few weeks now (1977). The drydown leans on Nutmeg plus Benzoin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Bergamot and Mandarin Orange β€” bright and immediately recognizable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
