   I picked up Mon Rouge! (2020) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Right away I get mostly Plum alongside Black Currant, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Neroli Essence, which is where the fragrance really shines. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   Yves Rocher knows how to compose, and Mon Rouge! (2020) is proof. Give it a little time and Iris with Neroli Essence comes forward — smooth and well done. As it settles, Patchouli come through and give it real depth. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A decant of Mon Rouge! sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. That first spray gives a lovely Plum/Black Currant impression that dries down smoothly. The opening is built around Plum and Black Currant — bright and immediately recognizable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A friend passed me a decant of Mon Rouge! (2020) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The first minutes are all about Plum with a hint of Black Currant — it grabs attention without being pushy. The base rests on Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I’ve been wearing Mon Rouge! on and off for a few weeks now (2020). The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Neroli Essence feel carefully balanced. The drydown leans on Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.
