   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Parisienne. The drydown leans on Musk plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Blackberry and Cranberry — bright and immediately recognizable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   Picked up a sample of Parisienne after reading the community buzz (2009). The opening is built around Blackberry and Cranberry — bright and immediately recognizable. Give it a little time and Damask Rose with Violet comes forward — smooth and well done. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   Yves Saint Laurent knows how to compose, and Parisienne (2009) is proof. The first minutes are all about Blackberry with a hint of Cranberry — it grabs attention without being pushy. Right away I get mostly Blackberry alongside Cranberry, fresh and very easy to wear. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The first minutes are all about Blackberry with a hint of Cranberry — it grabs attention without being pushy. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   A decant of Parisienne sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. As it settles, Musk and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. Give it a little time and Damask Rose with Violet comes forward — smooth and well done. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I picked up Parisienne (2009) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Blackberry with Cranberry peeking through, very much my kind of start. That first spray gives a lovely Blackberry/Cranberry impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
