   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Y Eau de Parfum Intense. The heart is the best part for me: Sage and Lavender feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Sage with Lavender comes forward — smooth and well done. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   My first Yves Saint Laurent experience was this one, Y Eau de Parfum Intense (2023). As it settles, Vetiver and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Sage with Lavender, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   I keep reaching for Y Eau de Parfum Intense more than I expected to. That first spray gives a lovely Ginger/Juniper Berries impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Ginger alongside Juniper Berries, fresh and very easy to wear. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The very first sniff is crisp Ginger with Juniper Berries peeking through, very much my kind of start. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I have owned Y Eau de Parfum Intense for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Sage with Lavender, which is where the fragrance really shines. Right away I get mostly Ginger alongside Juniper Berries, fresh and very easy to wear. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

The composition is well made but not for me.
