   Everyone keeps talking about Oriental, so I finally gave it a proper test. The opening is built around Freesia and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. Give it a little time and Vanilla with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I have owned Oriental for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The heart is the best part for me: Vanilla and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Vanilla with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Oriental. Give it a little time and Vanilla with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown leans on Caramel plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   A couple of wears in, Oriental has really grown on me. Right away I get mostly Freesia alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. As it settles, Caramel and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I’ve been wearing Oriental on and off for a few weeks now. The heart is the best part for me: Vanilla and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. The first minutes are all about Freesia with a hint of Bergamot — it grabs attention without being pushy. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   A friend passed me a decant of Oriental and I wasn’t prepared for it. As it settles, Caramel and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Vanilla with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
