   A friend passed me a decant of Ikon (2008) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Give it a little time and Cloves with Cinnamon comes forward — smooth and well done. The very first sniff is crisp Cardamom with Ginger peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   Everyone keeps talking about Ikon, so I finally gave it a proper test. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cloves with Cinnamon, which is where the fragrance really shines. The first minutes are all about Cardamom with a hint of Ginger — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I’ve been wearing Ikon on and off for a few weeks now (2008). That first spray gives a lovely Cardamom/Ginger impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Cardamom alongside Ginger, fresh and very easy to wear. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The heart is the best part for me: Cloves and Cinnamon feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cloves with Cinnamon, which is where the fragrance really shines. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
