   A decant of Chameleon sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The heart is the best part for me: Frangipani and Coconut feel carefully balanced. As it settles, Vanilla and Musk come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   A friend passed me a decant of Chameleon (2019) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Frangipani and Coconut feel carefully balanced. Right away I get mostly Ylang-Ylang alongside Mango, fresh and very easy to wear. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A couple of wears in, Chameleon has really grown on me. The base rests on Vanilla and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Give it a little time and Frangipani with Coconut comes forward — smooth and well done. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A couple of wears in, Chameleon has really grown on me. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Frangipani with Coconut, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Frangipani and Coconut feel carefully balanced. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Zoologist Perfumes knows how to compose, and Chameleon (2019) is proof. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Give it a little time and Frangipani with Coconut comes forward — smooth and well done. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   Everyone keeps talking about Chameleon, so I finally gave it a proper test. The first minutes are all about Ylang-Ylang with a hint of Mango — it grabs attention without being pushy. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Frangipani with Coconut, which is where the fragrance really shines. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
