   Picked up a sample of Panda Edition 2017 after reading the community buzz (2017). The very first sniff is crisp Apple with Tea peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Earthy notes and Patchouli feel carefully balanced. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Everyone keeps talking about Panda Edition 2017, so I finally gave it a proper test. The drydown leans on Musk plus Civet and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Apple and Tea — bright and immediately recognizable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

As it settles, Musk and Civet come through and give it real depth. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   A friend passed me a decant of Panda Edition 2017 (2017) and I wasn’t prepared for it. That first spray gives a lovely Apple/Tea impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Apple alongside Tea, fresh and very easy to wear. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Zoologist Perfumes knows how to compose, and Panda Edition 2017 (2017) is proof. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Earthy notes with Patchouli, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Earthy notes and Patchouli feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
