   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Gris Charnel. The first minutes are all about Cardamom with a hint of Fig — it grabs attention without being pushy. The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Bourbon Vetiver feel carefully balanced. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Bourbon Vetiver, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I wanted to like it more than I did.
