   A friend passed me a decant of Gucci Oud (2014) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The drydown leans on Agarwood (Oud) plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Bulgarian Rose and Orange Blossom feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   Picked up a sample of Gucci Oud after reading the community buzz (2014). The opening is built around Raspberry and Saffron — bright and immediately recognizable. The very first sniff is crisp Raspberry with Saffron peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   Picked up a sample of Gucci Oud after reading the community buzz (2014). The very first sniff is crisp Raspberry with Saffron peeking through, very much my kind of start. Give it a little time and Bulgarian Rose with Orange Blossom comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I keep reaching for Gucci Oud more than I expected to. The heart is the best part for me: Bulgarian Rose and Orange Blossom feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Bulgarian Rose with Orange Blossom, which is where the fragrance really shines. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

Right away I get mostly Raspberry alongside Saffron, fresh and very easy to wear. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

The first minutes are all about Raspberry with a hint of Saffron — it grabs attention without being pushy. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
