   I’ve been wearing Iris Prima on and off for a few weeks now (2013). The opening is built around Bergamot and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Pink Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   Everyone keeps talking about Iris Prima, so I finally gave it a proper test. As it settles, Leather and Benzoin come through and give it real depth. Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Pink Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   Penhaligon’s knows how to compose, and Iris Prima (2013) is proof. As it settles, Leather and Benzoin come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Leather plus Benzoin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   I’ve been wearing Iris Prima on and off for a few weeks now (2013). The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Pink Pepper — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Pink Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

Give it a little time and Iris with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

Give it a little time and Iris with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

    A couple of wears in, Iris Prima has really grown on me. The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Pink Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.
