   A decant of Initial sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Pepper and Cassis — bright and immediately recognizable. Give it a little time and Patchouli with Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   A couple of wears in, Initial has really grown on me. The opening is built around Pepper and Cassis — bright and immediately recognizable. The first minutes are all about Pepper with a hint of Cassis — it grabs attention without being pushy. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   For a 2000 release, Initial deserves more attention than it gets. That first spray gives a lovely Pepper/Cassis impression that dries down smoothly. The opening is built around Pepper and Cassis — bright and immediately recognizable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   For a 2000 release, Initial deserves more attention than it gets. The drydown leans on Honey plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. That first spray gives a lovely Pepper/Cassis impression that dries down smoothly. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I would happily buy a full bottle.

The very first sniff is crisp Pepper with Cassis peeking through, very much my kind of start. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I would happily buy a full bottle.
