   My first Mugler experience was this one, Angel (1992). The very first sniff is crisp Cotton Candy with Coconut peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Honey with Red Berries, which is where the fragrance really shines. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I have owned Angel for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Chocolate and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The very first sniff is crisp Cotton Candy with Coconut peeking through, very much my kind of start. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

The heart is the best part for me: Honey and Red Berries feel carefully balanced. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   Everyone keeps talking about Angel, so I finally gave it a proper test. The opening is built around Cotton Candy and Coconut — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Cotton Candy/Coconut impression that dries down smoothly. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. The composition is well made but not for me.

The base rests on Patchouli and Chocolate — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.
