   My first Aramis experience was this one, Havana (1994). The heart is the best part for me: Tobacco and Cinnamon feel carefully balanced. The first minutes are all about Mandarin Orange with a hint of Artemisia — it grabs attention without being pushy. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   Picked up a sample of Havana after reading the community buzz (1994). That first spray gives a lovely Mandarin Orange/Artemisia impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Havana. Give it a little time and Tobacco with Cinnamon comes forward — smooth and well done. The first minutes are all about Mandarin Orange with a hint of Artemisia — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I keep reaching for Havana more than I expected to. The opening is built around Mandarin Orange and Artemisia — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

The base rests on Oakmoss and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I have owned Havana for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Right away I get mostly Mandarin Orange alongside Artemisia, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Mandarin Orange with a hint of Artemisia — it grabs attention without being pushy. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I would happily buy a full bottle.

I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
