   A decant of Jubilation 40 sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The very first sniff is crisp Blackberry with Labdanum peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Blackberry with a hint of Labdanum — it grabs attention without being pushy. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I picked up Jubilation 40 (2023) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Frankincense and Bay Leaf feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Frankincense with Bay Leaf comes forward — smooth and well done. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I’ve been wearing Jubilation 40 on and off for a few weeks now (2023). Give it a little time and Frankincense with Bay Leaf comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Frankincense with Bay Leaf, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

Right away I get mostly Blackberry alongside Labdanum, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

The heart is the best part for me: Frankincense and Bay Leaf feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   For a 2023 release, Jubilation 40 deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Agarwood (Oud) and Opoponax — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Agarwood (Oud) and Opoponax come through and give it real depth. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
