A couple of wears in, In Red has really grown on me. The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Ginger — it grabs attention without being pushy. Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Ginger, fresh and very easy to wear. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

Picked up a sample of In Red after reading the community buzz (2003). The drydown leans on Woody Notes plus Oakmoss and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. As it settles, Woody Notes and Oakmoss come through and give it real depth. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

A decant of In Red sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Bergamot and Ginger — bright and immediately recognizable. Give it a little time and Lily with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

A friend passed me a decant of In Red (2003) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Ginger peeking through, very much my kind of start. That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Ginger impression that dries down smoothly. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I would happily buy a full bottle.

My first Armand Basi experience was this one, In Red (2003). The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Ginger peeking through, very much my kind of start. Give it a little time and Lily with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I wanted to like it more than I did.

My first Armand Basi experience was this one, In Red (2003). The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Ginger peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Woody Notes and Oakmoss come through and give it real depth. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

Everyone keeps talking about In Red, so I finally gave it a proper test. The drydown leans on Woody Notes plus Oakmoss and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Bergamot and Ginger — bright and immediately recognizable. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

I keep reaching for In Red more than I expected to. That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Ginger impression that dries down smoothly. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lily with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
