   For a 2014 release, Vanilla Bean Noel deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Sweet Notes and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Caramel with Chocolate, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I keep reaching for Vanilla Bean Noel more than I expected to. The heart is the best part for me: Caramel and Chocolate feel carefully balanced. The base rests on Sweet Notes and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

The opening is built around Whipped Cream and Vanilla — bright and immediately recognizable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I have owned Vanilla Bean Noel for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The opening is built around Whipped Cream and Vanilla — bright and immediately recognizable. As it settles, Sweet Notes and Musk come through and give it real depth. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Vanilla Bean Noel. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Caramel with Chocolate, which is where the fragrance really shines. Right away I get mostly Whipped Cream alongside Vanilla, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

I wanted to like it more than I did.
