   Picked up a sample of Benetton Cold after reading the community buzz (1997). The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Aldehydes — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown leans on White Musk plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   My first Benetton experience was this one, Benetton Cold (1997). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lavender with Geranium, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Lavender and Geranium feel carefully balanced. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Benetton knows how to compose, and Benetton Cold (1997) is proof. The opening is built around Bergamot and Aldehydes — bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: Lavender and Geranium feel carefully balanced. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   I keep reaching for Benetton Cold more than I expected to. As it settles, White Musk and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lavender with Geranium, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Aldehydes impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I wanted to like it more than I did.
