   A friend passed me a decant of Quatre Iconic (2022) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The drydown leans on Amber plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Tuberose and Peru Balsam feel carefully balanced. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I picked up Quatre Iconic (2022) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Ginger with Pink Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. Give it a little time and Tuberose with Peru Balsam comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Quatre Iconic. Right away I get mostly Ginger alongside Pink Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Ginger with a hint of Pink Pepper — it grabs attention without being pushy. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   For a 2022 release, Quatre Iconic deserves more attention than it gets. The first minutes are all about Ginger with a hint of Pink Pepper — it grabs attention without being pushy. The base rests on Amber and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. The composition is well made but not for me.

The first minutes are all about Ginger with a hint of Pink Pepper — it grabs attention without being pushy. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I keep reaching for Quatre Iconic more than I expected to. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Tuberose with Peru Balsam, which is where the fragrance really shines. The opening is built around Ginger and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
