   For a 2004 release, Brit Red deserves more attention than it gets. The first minutes are all about Rhuburb with a hint of Mandarin Orange — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Rhuburb with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I have owned Brit Red for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The very first sniff is crisp Rhuburb with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Vanilla Bean and Benzoin come through and give it real depth. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Brit Red. The drydown leans on Vanilla Bean plus Benzoin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Ginger and Rose feel carefully balanced. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I’ve been wearing Brit Red on and off for a few weeks now (2004). The drydown leans on Vanilla Bean plus Benzoin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. That first spray gives a lovely Rhuburb/Mandarin Orange impression that dries down smoothly. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

The base rests on Vanilla Bean and Benzoin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
