   A friend passed me a decant of Splendida – Patchouli Tentation (2020) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Patchouli with White Peach peeking through, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Indonesian Patchouli Leaf and White Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   My first Bvlgari experience was this one, Splendida – Patchouli Tentation (2020). The base rests on Indonesian Patchouli Leaf and White Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Patchouli with Orris, which is where the fragrance really shines. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I would happily buy a full bottle.

The heart is the best part for me: Patchouli and Orris feel carefully balanced. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

Give it a little time and Patchouli with Orris comes forward — smooth and well done. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   Bvlgari knows how to compose, and Splendida – Patchouli Tentation (2020) is proof. The first minutes are all about Patchouli with a hint of White Peach — it grabs attention without being pushy. That first spray gives a lovely Patchouli/White Peach impression that dries down smoothly. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

The very first sniff is crisp Patchouli with White Peach peeking through, very much my kind of start. Right away I get mostly Patchouli alongside White Peach, fresh and very easy to wear. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
