   By Kilian knows how to compose, and Black Phantom (2017) is proof. As it settles, Caramel and Sugar Cane come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Dark Chocolate with Coffee, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   Picked up a sample of Black Phantom after reading the community buzz (2017). The very first sniff is crisp Rum, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Dark Chocolate with Coffee, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

The drydown leans on Caramel plus Sugar Cane and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
