   I have owned Eyes Closed for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The base rests on Papyrus and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The first minutes are all about Cinnamon with a hint of Cardamom — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   Picked up a sample of Eyes Closed after reading the community buzz (2022). The very first sniff is crisp Cinnamon with Cardamom peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Cinnamon with a hint of Cardamom — it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

Give it a little time and Orris with Carrot comes forward — smooth and well done. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Byredo knows how to compose, and Eyes Closed (2022) is proof. The base rests on Papyrus and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Papyrus plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

Right away I get mostly Cinnamon alongside Cardamom, fresh and very easy to wear. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   I keep reaching for Eyes Closed more than I expected to. The heart is the best part for me: Orris and Carrot feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Orris with Carrot comes forward — smooth and well done. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   For a 2022 release, Eyes Closed deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Papyrus and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Orris with Carrot, which is where the fragrance really shines. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.
