For a 2008 release, Pulp deserves more attention than it gets. That first spray gives a lovely Black Currant/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Praline and Peach Blossom come through and give it real depth. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

My first Byredo experience was this one, Pulp (2008). The first minutes are all about Black Currant with a hint of Bergamot β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. The base rests on Praline and Peach Blossom β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. Two sprays are enough β€” it carries well without shouting. I wanted to like it more than I did.

I picked up Pulp (2008) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. As it settles, Praline and Peach Blossom come through and give it real depth. The heart is the best part for me: Fig and Red Apple feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I picked up Pulp (2008) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Black Currant with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Fig and Red Apple feel carefully balanced. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

A friend passed me a decant of Pulp (2008) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Black Currant alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: Fig and Red Apple feel carefully balanced. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

I have owned Pulp for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The opening is built around Black Currant and Bergamot β€” bright and immediately recognizable. I have owned Pulp for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The drydown leans on Praline plus Peach Blossom and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. A decant of Pulp sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. As it settles, Praline and Peach Blossom come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Fig with Red Apple, which is where the fragrance really shines. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

Everyone keeps talking about Pulp, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on Praline and Peach Blossom β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. The heart is the best part for me: Fig and Red Apple feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
