   A decant of Chance Eau Splendide sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. That first spray gives a lovely Red fruits/Raspberry impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Red fruits with Raspberry peeking through, very much my kind of start. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   My first Chanel experience was this one, Chance Eau Splendide (2025). Give it a little time and Iris with Rose Geranium comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Rose Geranium, which is where the fragrance really shines. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Rose Geranium, which is where the fragrance really shines. As it settles, White Musk and Cedar come through and give it real depth. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I wanted to like it more than I did.
