   I keep reaching for Skin more than I expected to. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Honeysuckle peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Skin with Vanilla Orchid, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   Everyone keeps talking about Skin, so I finally gave it a proper test. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Honeysuckle peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Honeysuckle — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   I picked up Skin (2016) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Give it a little time and Skin with Vanilla Orchid comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Skin and Vanilla Orchid feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

The base rests on Musk and Praline — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.
