   Everyone keeps talking about Scent Intense, so I finally gave it a proper test. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Hibiscus with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Hibiscus and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   A friend passed me a decant of Scent Intense (2002) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The opening is built around Bergamot and Green Tea — bright and immediately recognizable. The base rests on Leather and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

As it settles, Leather and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A couple of wears in, Scent Intense has really grown on me. That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Green Tea impression that dries down smoothly. The base rests on Leather and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   Picked up a sample of Scent Intense after reading the community buzz (2002). The base rests on Leather and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Leather plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   My first Costume National experience was this one, Scent Intense (2002). The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Green Tea peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Leather plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Green Tea impression that dries down smoothly. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. The composition is well made but not for me.

That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Green Tea impression that dries down smoothly. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I picked up Scent Intense (2002) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Give it a little time and Hibiscus with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Green Tea, fresh and very easy to wear. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Green Tea, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
