   I have owned Carmina for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. As it settles, Musk and Ambroxan come through and give it real depth. Give it a little time and May Rose with Peony comes forward — smooth and well done. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   A friend passed me a decant of Carmina (2023) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Black cherry alongside Saffron, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: May Rose and Peony feel carefully balanced. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Picked up a sample of Carmina after reading the community buzz (2023). The drydown leans on Musk plus Ambroxan and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The base rests on Musk and Ambroxan — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The opening is built around Black cherry and Saffron — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A decant of Carmina sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into May Rose with Peony, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Musk plus Ambroxan and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into May Rose with Peony, which is where the fragrance really shines. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
