   My first Davidoff experience was this one, The Game (2012). The drydown leans on Ebony Wood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Juniper Berries and Gin — bright and immediately recognizable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   I’ve been wearing The Game on and off for a few weeks now (2012). The drydown leans on Ebony Wood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Juniper Berries and Gin — bright and immediately recognizable. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   For a 2012 release, The Game deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Ebony Wood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The first minutes are all about Juniper Berries with a hint of Gin — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I have owned The Game for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The opening is built around Juniper Berries and Gin — bright and immediately recognizable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Precious Woods, which is where the fragrance really shines. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

As it settles, Ebony Wood come through and give it real depth. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Precious Woods, which is where the fragrance really shines. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
