   Picked up a sample of Forever and Ever Dior after reading the community buzz (2006). That first spray gives a lovely Freesia/Ivy impression that dries down smoothly. The base rests on Vanilla and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I have owned Forever and Ever Dior for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. As it settles, Vanilla and Musk come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A decant of Forever and Ever Dior sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Right away I get mostly Freesia alongside Ivy, fresh and very easy to wear. The very first sniff is crisp Freesia with Ivy peeking through, very much my kind of start. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   A couple of wears in, Forever and Ever Dior has really grown on me. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose Hip with Almond Blossom, which is where the fragrance really shines. The first minutes are all about Freesia with a hint of Ivy — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I picked up Forever and Ever Dior (2006) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Freesia and Ivy — bright and immediately recognizable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
