   Dior knows how to compose, and Miss Dior (1947) is proof. The base rests on Oakmoss and Leather — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Oakmoss and Leather come through and give it real depth. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Dior knows how to compose, and Miss Dior (1947) is proof. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Leather and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The base rests on Oakmoss and Leather — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   For a 1947 release, Miss Dior deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Narcissus with Iris comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Oakmoss and Leather — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   A friend passed me a decant of Miss Dior (1947) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The base rests on Oakmoss and Leather — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The very first sniff is crisp Aldehydes with Galbanum peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   I picked up Miss Dior (1947) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Narcissus and Iris feel carefully balanced. The opening is built around Aldehydes and Galbanum — bright and immediately recognizable. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   Picked up a sample of Miss Dior after reading the community buzz (1947). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Narcissus with Iris, which is where the fragrance really shines. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Galbanum — it grabs attention without being pushy. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Miss Dior. That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Galbanum impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Galbanum, fresh and very easy to wear. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
