   My first Diptyque experience was this one, Florabellio (2015). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Apple Blossom with Osmanthus, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Apple Blossom and Osmanthus feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   Everyone keeps talking about Florabellio, so I finally gave it a proper test. The drydown leans on Roasted Coffee Beans plus Sesame and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Apple Blossom and Osmanthus feel carefully balanced. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   A decant of Florabellio sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Give it a little time and Apple Blossom with Osmanthus comes forward — smooth and well done. Right away I get mostly Sea Notes alongside Sea Salt, fresh and very easy to wear. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I would happily buy a full bottle.
