   My first DS&Durga experience was this one, Steamed Rainbow (2023). The drydown leans on Violet plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Grass and Almond Blossom feel carefully balanced. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

Give it a little time and Grass with Almond Blossom comes forward — smooth and well done. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   My first DS&Durga experience was this one, Steamed Rainbow (2023). That first spray gives a lovely Blood Mandarin/elemi impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Violet and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I have owned Steamed Rainbow for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Blood Mandarin/elemi impression that dries down smoothly. The opening is built around Blood Mandarin and elemi — bright and immediately recognizable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The composition is well made but not for me.
