   For a 2016 release, Modern Muse Nuit deserves more attention than it gets. The heart is the best part for me: Chamomile and Heliotrope feel carefully balanced. As it settles, Tonka Bean and Madagascar Vanilla come through and give it real depth. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   Picked up a sample of Modern Muse Nuit after reading the community buzz (2016). The very first sniff is crisp Cassis with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. The opening is built around Cassis and Mandarin Orange — bright and immediately recognizable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Modern Muse Nuit. Right away I get mostly Cassis alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: Chamomile and Heliotrope feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   Everyone keeps talking about Modern Muse Nuit, so I finally gave it a proper test. The drydown leans on Tonka Bean plus Madagascar Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Right away I get mostly Cassis alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The first minutes are all about Cassis with a hint of Mandarin Orange — it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
