   A friend passed me a decant of Irresistible Givenchy (2020) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Iris, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Pear/Ambrette (Musk Mallow) impression that dries down smoothly. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I wanted to like it more than I did.

The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Iris feel carefully balanced. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin.    Givenchy knows how to compose, and Irresistible Givenchy (2020) is proof. As it settles, Musk and Virginia Cedar come through and give it real depth. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I’ve been wearing Irresistible Givenchy on and off for a few weeks now (2020). The drydown leans on Musk plus Virginia Cedar and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Right away I get mostly Pear alongside Ambrette (Musk Mallow), fresh and very easy to wear. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I picked up Irresistible Givenchy (2020) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. That first spray gives a lovely Pear/Ambrette (Musk Mallow) impression that dries down smoothly. Give it a little time and Rose with Iris comes forward — smooth and well done. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I would happily buy a full bottle.
