   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Tonka. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Coconut with Tonka Bean, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Coconut and Tonka Bean feel carefully balanced. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   A couple of wears in, Tonka has really grown on me. As it settles, Vanilla and Amber come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A decant of Tonka sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The first minutes are all about Coconut with a hint of Coumarin — it grabs attention without being pushy. Give it a little time and Coconut with Tonka Bean comes forward — smooth and well done. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
