I picked up Eau de Shalimar (2008) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and Rose feel carefully balanced. As it settles, Vanilla and Resin come through and give it real depth. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

Everyone keeps talking about Eau de Shalimar, so I finally gave it a proper test. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and Rose feel carefully balanced. The first minutes are all about Lime with a hint of Bergamot — it grabs attention without being pushy. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

A couple of wears in, Eau de Shalimar has really grown on me. The base rests on Vanilla and Resin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and Rose feel carefully balanced. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I keep reaching for Eau de Shalimar more than I expected to. The base rests on Vanilla and Resin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Vanilla and Resin come through and give it real depth. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

I picked up Eau de Shalimar (2008) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Resin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine with Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

A couple of wears in, Eau de Shalimar has really grown on me. As it settles, Vanilla and Resin come through and give it real depth. That first spray gives a lovely Lime/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

Picked up a sample of Eau de Shalimar after reading the community buzz (2008). Right away I get mostly Lime alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Lime with a hint of Bergamot — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

I’ve been wearing Eau de Shalimar on and off for a few weeks now (2008). The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Resin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The base rests on Vanilla and Resin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I’ve been wearing Eau de Shalimar on and off for a few weeks now (2008). The very first sniff is crisp Lime with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Vanilla and Resin come through and give it real depth. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
