   I picked up L’Instant Magic (2007) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Violet with Mimosa, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Violet and Mimosa feel carefully balanced. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   I have owned L’Instant Magic for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The base rests on Almond and Iris — warm, grounded and easy to live with. That first spray gives a lovely Anise/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   Picked up a sample of L’Instant Magic after reading the community buzz (2007). The opening is built around Anise and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Violet with Mimosa, which is where the fragrance really shines. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

The heart is the best part for me: Violet and Mimosa feel carefully balanced. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
